The Born of Scars “The Rain” Music Video created by York College CT students has finally been completed. A group of students including Dhruv Kumar, the producer, set out to create a music video for their Cinematography class in Spring 2011, taught by Liz Ruben.

When they realized they would not be able to complete the project without extra funding, Dhruv had to dig into his savings for an internship and eventually raise funds using Kickstarter.

The crew held an exclusive premiere on October 15th at 6 pm where guests were treated with a special performance by the band. The video was officially released on Oct. 17th, you can watch it here.

Dhruv calls this the most expensive and consuming project he has ever done. Its been a long rocky road, taking 7 months to complete and a $5000 grand total. There were many obstacles hindering the completion of this project, including hard drive crashes and a car accident resulting in concussions and back injuries to members of the crew. The crew is extremely grateful for the assistance, the encouragement and support. Thanks for making it possible.
