Technical Careers in Television Production

Wednesday March 20th, 6:45pm at Lehman College, Made in NY Talks will be holding a discussion on the Technical Careers in Television Production. You must RSVP by Monday March 18th.

We encourage all of students, especially those in the Television Production Concentration to attend this event. Not only will it provide insight of career options, it present an opportunity to network with current Television Production personnel.

This discussion will take an in-depth look at the many jobs in Television:

The local entertainment industry employs 130,000 New Yorkers who work in film, television and commercial productions. The industry also generates $7.1 billion each year for the City’s economy. Sharing insights into their experiences working in television at Technical Careers in Television Production will be Glynis Burke, who has worked in the camera and electrical departments on such projects asThe Hours, Unfaithful and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit;” camera operator Mark Brit, whose credits include “Rachael Ray;” and Kenneth Prins, an audio engineer at FOX. The discussion will be moderated by Todd Asher, First Deputy Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment. A Q&A will follow.
